Patient Participation Group
The PPG shall provide communication channels between the Practice Management Team and patients to inform its role as critical friend and supporter of the Practice, in striving for excellence.
How we do this
- We assist communication between patients and the Practice, we offer input and suggestions for improvements as seen from the patient’s point of view.
- We support the Practice in its strive for excellence.
- We monitor the policies of the Practice and compare with other Practices’ locally and nationally.
- We relay information to patients and the public regarding changes and improvements occurring in the Practice.
- We help with manpower and extra hands when needed.
- We fund raise for any items that may be required for the Practice but are not funded directly by the Primary Care Trust.
Joining the PPG
In 2022, we made the decision to make all patients members of the Patient Participation Group and all members are eligible to stand for election to the committee.
The committee meets every 6-8 weeks with representatives of the practice.
